Vitality Blast 2022 – Middlesex vs Gloucestershire, match preview, predicted lineups

Mid vs Glo
Match no. 3 of t20 blast 2022 between Middlesex and Gloucestershire takes place today

Middlesex take on Gloucestershire in their opening opening game of Vitality Blast 2022 as the season moves ahead. Both teams will be looking for a wi here.

Date & Time : 26th May 2022, 4:30 PM (Local)

Venue : Radlett Cricket Club, Radlett

Middlesex didn’t had the best of campaigns last time around and will be motivated to do well this time around and may even win the title. They will have to play quality cricket though.

Middlesex are in South Group and they have eight other teams in their section. Their next match is against Hampshire Hawks on May 27.

Middlesex coach Richard Johnson will definitely have plans surrounding his core of players. Their key men include captain Peter Handscomb, Eoin Morgan and Chris Green.

On the other hand, Gloucestershire too didn’t;t had the best of campaigns last time around and will be hoping for a better showing this time around to lift the trophy.

Gloucestershire are in the South Group as well. Their next game is against Sussex Sharks on May 27.

Gloucestershire coach Dale Benkenstein and captain Jack Taylor will need to carve out a strategy that would go a long way in the tournament. Their key men include Ian Cockbain, Glenn Phillips & Jack Taylor himself.

For the wicket, it will provide something for the batters while the bowlers might struggle here.

Team news and possible lineups

There are no fresh injury concerns for both sides at the moment.

Middlesex XI : R. White, Morgan, Stoneman, Handscomb, Holden, Eskinazi (C), Hollman, M. Andersson, J. Davies (WK), Green, Bamber.

Gloucestershire XI : Cockbain, Phillips, J. Taylor (C), Hammond, Howell, Higgins, Wells (WK), D. Payne, Meekeren, M. Taylor, T. Smith.

Prediction

I expect both teams to fight it out and may the best team on the day win.
