The Blues eye victory as they host Malmo in 2018/19 UEFA Europa League round of 32 2nd leg
Chelsea will play Malmo on Thursday in the second leg of their round of 32 ties of 2018/19 UEFA Europa League. The Blues go into this game as the favourites.
Kick-off : 8:00 PM (Local)
Venue : Stamford Bridge, London
Chelsea did well against Malmo in the first leg in Sweden to get ahead in the tie winning the game 2-1. More importantly they got two away goals. Malmo will have to work really hard.
The Blues know they have got a huge advantage also playing at home they would wanna ensure they are safely through to next round. Though Malmo will come hard at them but they know their quality.
Chelsea next play Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final.
On the other hand, Malmo struggled at home and overcoming the deficit looks a hard thing and they know that.
Playing Chelsea away will be an uphill task but still they shouldn’t back off and try to play to the best of their abilities as they can as it will be a positive approach.
Team news and possible line-ups
Malmo will likely play the same XI as in the first leg.
As for The Blues, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is doubtful for the Malmo game. While Olivier Giroud, Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi are all available and will likely play.
Malmo XI : Dahlin, Nielsen, Bengtsson, Safari, Vindheim, Christiansen, Bachirou, Traustason, Rieks, Rosenborg, Antonsson.
Chelsea XI : Kepa, C. Azpilicueta, D. Luiz, A. Christensen, Emerson, Kante, Jorginho, R. Barkley, Willian, O. Giroud, Hudson-Odoi.
Prediction
It should be a good game as both teams will give their all but in the end I expect The Blues to get the job done and earn a victory. They might win 4-0. The goalscorers might be Callum Hudson-Odoi, Olivier Giroud, N’Golo Kante and Ross Barkley.
