Tata IPL 2022 – PBKS vs RCB match preview, predicted lineups
Punjab Kings will take on Royal Challengers Banglore in the 2nd encounter of Super Sunday. Both teams will eye a winning start here.
Date & Time : 27th March 2022, 7:30 PM IST
Venue : Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai
RCB are a very good side in IPL and yet they are trophy less. They will try to end their drought this season. The Bengaluru side have players that can be destructive.
The Royal Challengers will be captained by Proteas Faf du Plessis. He was the second highest run scorer last season and should influence the Banglore side well.
RCB did play the playoffs last season only to loose to eventual finalists KKR. The Royal Challengers finished 3rd in the league round last season.
RCB are very good in batting conditions and Maharashtra wickets should help their approach and they need a combined effort as well as luck this season.
On the other hand, Punjab Kings too being one of the top quality teams of the IPL are yet to win an IPL title. They might do it this season.
Fans will be expecting Mayank Agarwal to lead his side well and with a solid signing of Shikhar Dhawan you can expect solidity at the top. PBKS has players who can turn the tide.
Anil Kumble as head coach should have plenty of positivity and one can expect Punjab Kings to play to potential. They though will look to make the playoffs which they didn’t last season finishing in the sixth position.
Punjab Kings will be boasted by the fact that they have an upper hand in games against the Royal Challengers Bangalore as they have won 15 matches in comparison to 13 matches in the 28 played.
The wicket at the DY Patil as with wickets in Mumbai will aid the batters but bowling too will get their due.
