Delhi Capitals and neighbouring state team Lucknow Super Giants will lock horns on Thursday in IPL 2022. Both teams will be looking for a win here.
Date & Time : 7th April 2022, 7:30 PM IST
Venue : Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai
Lucknow Super Giants are a strong team in this IPL so far having won a couple of games on the trot. They will aim for a hattrick albeit a stiff Delhi Capitals challenge.
Batting wise they have found the top and the middle order click and with batsman like Badoni in the ranks, they are in safe hands. In terms of bowling Lucknow are as well blessed with the return of the ever so reliable Jason Holder.
Lucknow captain KL Rahul is a good captain and his captaincy skills will be tested throughout this tournament. LSG just need to play their brand of cricket.
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals who are a strong team nowadays in IPL despite winning the first game to mighty Mumbai suffered a shock defeat to newbies Gujarat Titans in their last game. Another newbie in Lucknow await.
Delhi skipper Rishabh Pant can be trusted and Delhi can expect him to deliver the required goods. DC must be confident in way of things.
With a potential return of Aussie David Warner and proteas Anrich Nortje, Delhi will be boasted in strength. They have batted not that well, with a player yet to score a half-century also. The bowling might have look par. So they must quickly improve in the batting department.
In terms of the head to head, this is the first ever encounter between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants.
For the wicket, it will be helpful for the batters but bowlers will reap their rewards if bowl good balls.
