Real Madrid kick start their 2017/18 La Liga campaign away from home
Real Madrid will start their title defense away from home as they play Deportivo in La Liga 2017/18 opener. Real Madrid clearly are the favorites to get the three points.
Kick-off : 10:15 PM (Local)
Venue : Riazor, A Coruna
Having won the Supercopa de Espana against arch rivals Barcelona, Los Blancos will look to start the new La Liga season with a win. They will be without Cristiano Ronaldo in this game.
Real Madrid are near full strength for this game with the exception of Ronaldo. He is suffering a five match ban which he got in the first leg of the Supercopa.
Barcelona finished last season with only 3 points adrift of Real Madrid. But to be honest they didn’t look like winning the La Liga throughout the whole season.
With Atletico Madrid also suffering some problems, Zinedine Zidane will look to create some more history this season. He is already having a great managerial career.
Real Madrid are having a healthy roster with all players fit and are looking forward to coming months. New players like Marco Asensio and Isco performing are great signs for Madrid.
It’s Zidane’s side’s title to loose as they are ahead of Barcelona at the moment.
Team news and possible line-ups
Florin Andone of Deportivo is a doubt for Sunday’s game due to groin injury. Carles Gil is also unlikely to feature due to groin problem.
Ruben should keep in this game for Deportivo. While Juanfran and Luisinho should be the full-backs. Lopez and Bakkali should form the frontline.
As for Madrid, Cristiano will be absent and Jesus Vallejo is recovering from a thigh injury. Apart from it Zidane have a full complement to choose from.
Deportivo XI : Ruben, Juanfran, Schar, Sidnei, Luisinho, Borges, Mosquera, Guilherme, Cartabia, Lopez, Bakkali.
Real Madrid XI : Navas, Carvajal, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo, Modric, Casemiro, Kroos, Bale, Benzema, Isco.
Prediction
I think it’s Madrid’s game to loose. I expect a 3-1 win for Real Madrid.
