Real Madrid eye a place in Champions League 2017/18 final as they take on Bayern Munich in semi-final 2nd leg at home
Real Madrid are set to play Bayern Munich on Tuesday night in the 2017/18 Champions League semi-final 2nd leg at home. Both teams will be looking for a win.
Kick-off : 8:45 PM (Local)
Venue : Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid
Real Madrid did well in the first leg in Munich as they edged Bayern 2-1, getting two important away goals in the process. Now even a goalless draw will do for Real while Bayern Munich will have to score at least a couple of times.
Domestically Barcelona have just won the La Liga and European trophy is all what’s left for Los Blancos and they would desperately wanna win it.
On the other hand, Bayern Munich would be extremely disappointed with their performance six days ago and will look to overturn the fortunes. They have been crowned the German champions and European success will be next on their minds, but have Real Madrid in their way.
Courtesy of their last win, Los Blancos now lead Bayern 8-6 on the head to head. Both clubs have played just one draw game against each other.
Team news and possible line-ups
Jerome Boateng, Kingsley Coman and Arturo Vidal will all be not available for Bayern for the Tuesday night game as due to injury. While David Alaba and Arjen Robben are both doubts. Also Manuel Neuer remains sidelined.
As for Real Madrid, Dani Carvajal and Isco will be unavailable as due to injury. Whereas Nacho remains doubtful.
Other than that, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos makes a comeback after being rested at the weekend.
Bayern Munich XI : Ulreich, Kimmich, Sule, Hummels, Rafinha, Alcantara, J. Martinez, J. Rodriguez, Ribery, Muller.
Real Madrid XI : Navas, Nacho, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo, Kroos, Casemiro, Modric, Asensio, Vazquez, Ronaldo.
Prediction
I think it will be a close game but I expect Real Madrid to reach another Champions League final. The game might end 2-2.
