Manchester United share points against Wolves at Molineux in 2019/20 Premier League
Manchester United played out a 1-1 draw yesterday away against Wolves in 2019/20 Premier League as both teams got one point each.
The Reds Devils should be disappointed with the result as after a splendid display against Chelsea in the opening game of the season they were the favourites to dominate and win this one but couldn’t do.
Credit must be given to the way Nuno Espirito Santo and co. approached this home fixture and set out to do the hard task of stopping Man United get the three full points.
After this game The Red Devils are fourth in the points table after 2 games with 4 points. While Wolves are thirteenth in the points table after 2 games with 2 points. Still early days in the Premier League.
Talking about the game it started off with United looking dangerous although Wolves also threatened but as a senior team does Man United looked for goals.
They were not successful initially but got the better of Wolves in the 27th minute when Anthony Martial scored. Trouble spelled for Nuno Espirito Santo.
No more goals were their in the first half as United dominated at the Molineux. Referee blew the half-time whistle.
All work to be done in the second half for both the sides as players took the half-time break after which we returned.
Manchester United knew if early threat was avoided from Wolves in the first few minutes of the second half then game would have been their’s to loose.
But it didn’t happen as Wolves were successful in breaching the United defence after first it was missed by Raul Jimenez but later on another chance scored by Ruben Neves.
In 55th minute of the game it became all square again with United having to do the work again. This team they seemed lacking as Wolves themselves looked for the winner.
Paul Pogba missed a crucial penalty, a chance which he will rue. It could have been three points for United but wasn’t to be.
Both teams shared points, good for Wolves and their supporters but much to look forward to for United.
Manchester United next play Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
