Man United look for three points away against Crystal Palace
Manchester United are set to play Crystal Palace on Monday in the Premier League as the season moves ahead. United go into this game as the favorites.
Kick-off : 8:00 PM (Local)
Venue : Selhurst Park, London
Man United are currently third in the Premier League after 28 games with 59 points. They trail table toppers and rivals Manchester City by 19 points, although have played a game less. United will need to keep winning games to finish in top four.
Man United defeated Chelsea last weekend at home and will be in a positive frame of mind. But shouldn’t be complacent taking on Crystal Palace away on Monday night.
On the other hand, Crystal Palace are currently 18th in the Premier League after 28 games with 27 points. They are desperately in need of some points to come out of the relegation zone.
Crystal Palace lost to Spurs last weekend and will now need to lift themselves against Premier League heavyweights Manchester United at home.
So far Man United and Crystal Palace have played each other 52 times. Out of that United have won on 35 occasions while loosing 7 times, 10 other games have been a draw.
Team news and possible line-ups
James Tomkins, Yohan Cabaye, Joel Ward, Martin Kelly and Jordan Schlupp are all doubtful for Crystal Palace ahead of the United game.
While Connor Wickham, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Jason Puncheon, Scott Dann, Bakary Sako, Mamadou Sakho, Wilfried Zaha and Julian Speroni will all be not available as due to injury. Also Timothy Fosu-Mensah is ineligible to play against his parent club.
As for Man United, Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Marouane Fellaini, Daley Blind and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be available as due to injury.
Crystal Palace XI : Hennessey, Wan-Bissaka, Kelly, Delaney, Van Aanholt, McArthur, Milivojevic, Riedewald, Townsend, Benteke, Sorloth.
Manchester United XI : De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Bailly, Shaw, McTominay, Matic, Pogba, Lingard, Lukaku, Sanchez.
Prediction
I expect United to win this game 2-1.
If they were to pick up a point then it would at least be one more than what they earned in Manchester last weekend when they traveled to Old Trafford to face United.
