Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur
Liverpool defeated Tottenham Hotspur yesterday in Madrid to win their sixth European title
Liverpool yesterday clinched the prestigious European club title in the UEFA Champions League as they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the final. This is Liverpool’s sixth European title.

The Reds enjoy a wonderful success in European competitions and it must be a lot of satisfaction for all Liverpool fans. The disappointment of not being able to win the domestic Premier League must now be put on hold for sometime now.

Liverpool played wonderful football to be in the position where they are in. They didn’t gave Tottenham an inch and were solid defensively. The confidence must be boosted after a splendid performance in future finals.

The game started on a bad note for Spurs as they conceded penalty in the very first minute. Mohamed Salah and Liverpool took full advantage of it getting ahead so early on in the game. And the pace of the match was set from here on in. Spurs were chasing the game.

It came as a little surprise for many as Liverpool were billed favourites to win the game as they played good football to end the first 45 minutes with a 1-0 lead intact. Must have been so disappointing for the Spurs supporters as they had some high hopes.

Nevertheless second half began with Tottenham pressing hard for the equaliser but couldn’t get so and when the first ten minutes passed, Liverpool were back on the task of getting another goal and killing the game.

As we approached the full quota of ninety minutes football we saw some enthralling soccer from Liverpool as their fans were happy and sensed something special. In 87th minute Origi made it 2-0.

The game was over by now for Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool had another one of their successful European nights. The Reds won the UCL and Liverpool fans will be very happy.

Celebrations must have went long as the team received trophy as Aleksander Ceferin was present and high hopes for future.
