Indian team eye victory in Jamaica Test to complete Test series whitewash against The West Indies on 2019 tour
India and The West Indies will go head to head in the 2nd Test match of the two match series starting from Friday. Team India go into this game as the favourites.
Date & Time : Aug 30-Sep 3, 8:00 PM IST
Venue : Sabina Park, Jamaica
Team India are having a very successful 2019 tour to the West Indies with almost winning every game they have played so far, be it the T20I’s, ODI’s or now the Tests.
India will look to continue the winning run when they play the final tour match in terms of the 2nd and final test. After which they depart back for India where the Proteas await.
The game plan is simple for Jamaica that is Bat well enough to outplay the Windies while bowl well enough to take the 20 wickets. If we are successful in it then we would have really executed the game plan to perfection. All the best to the team.
On the other hand, The West Indies should be demoralised by now by the results of the ongoing tour. They will look forward to winning at least one game.
The Windies know that they have been poor and India are not going to give them easy chances. And that’s where they lack, to reverse the opposite circumstances. They get into the trap and loose all hopes and eventually suffer defeat.
West Indies will need to be at their absolute best in Jamaica test, be good tactically. They need to give their all and hope for the best. I wish them luck.
India are fast catching up in terms of wins in the head to head in tests against Windies but for the moment it’s the latter who are ahead.
Team news and possible line-ups
Rahkeem Cornwall and Keemo Paul are both available for The Windies for the 2nd Test match and one of them might play.
As for Team India, they will probably go with the same XI as in the previous game.
West Indies XI : Holder (C), K. Brathwaite, J. Campbell, D. Bravo, S. Hetmyer, S. Hope (WK), S. Brooks, Chase, Cornwall, Roach, S. Gabriel.
India XI : Kohli (C), M. Agarwal, KL Rahul, Pujara, Rahane, Pant (WK), Vihari, R. Jadeja, Shami, Bumrah, I. Sharma.
Prediction
It should be another game where India dominates after thinking of what has happened on this tour so far.
