India look to salvage pride in final Test at The Oval

India vs England
India will play England in the final Test of the 5 match series starting from Friday
India and England are set to play each other in the fifth and final Test of the five match series starting from Friday. England have already won the series and leads 3-1. England will look to make it 4-1 while India will like to end on a winning note.

Date and Time : 7-11 Sep 2018, 3:30 PM IST

Venue : The Oval, London

India won the third Test match in emphatic fashion but couldn’t repeat the heroics in the fourth game and as a result have lost the series and are behind.

The Batsman have largely failed in the series which have resulted in the losses in the series. While the Bowlers should be given credit for getting the team to the winning positions.

On the other hand, England too have struggled with the bat in the series but they also have been clinical with their bowling and have been more successful. They will look to do the same job at The Oval to continue the good work.

England have all the more reason to win the fifth and final Test to give farewell to the retiring Cook.

Team news and possible line-ups

Chris Woakes is doubtful for the fifth Test. Other than that England are going to play the same XI as in the fourth Test match.

As for India, Ravindra Jadeja and Prithvi Shaw are available and might play in the final Test.

England XI : Root (C), Cook, Jennings, M. Ali, Bairstow, Buttler (WK), Stokes, Curran, Rashid, Broad, Anderson.

India XI : V. Kohli (C), S. Dhawan, KL Rahul, A. Rahane, C. Pujara, R. Pant (WK), R. Ashwin, H. Pandya, I. Sharma, M. Shami, J. Bumrah.

Prediction

I expect it to be a close game as both teams will give their all, may the best team over the course of five days win the game.
