India look for their first ever T20I win over New Zealand

India vs New Zealand
India will play New Zealand on Wednesday night in the first T20I of the series
India is all set to play New Zealand on Wednesday night in the first T20I of the three match series. India go into this game as the favorites.

Date and Time : 1st November 2017, 7:00 PM (IST)

Venue : Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi

It is a great opportunity for Team India to register their first win over NZ in T20I’s. In fact after a great ODI series win, it’s just a matter of time when India break their duck in T20 format.

Although NZ competed well in the one-dayers, they still fell short. India now have won seven consecutive ODI series in a row, which is a record.

But NZ will be encouraged with the upcoming shorter format series. The more shorter it is the more opportunity they have.

All in all it should be a good game on Wednesday night as both teams will give their all.

Team news and possible line-ups

Ross Taylor isn’t part of the New Zealand T20I side for this series. So the visitors might field an additional spinner or bring in Glenn Phillips, who is a wicket-keeper batsman.

Other than that the Black Caps will have the same squad as in the ODI’s.

As for India, Ashish Nehra will play in the XI as it will be his farewell match. He will likely replace either of Bhuvneshwar Kumar or Jasprit Bumrah.

While Shreyas Iyer might be given a chance in place Kedar Jadhav.

New Zealand XI : Guptill, Munro, Williamson, Latham, Phillips, Nicholls, Grandhomme, Santner, Southee, Milne, Boult.

India XI : R. Sharma, Dhawan, Kohli, M. Pandey, Iyer, Dhoni, H. Pandya, A. Patel, Chahal, Bumrah, Nehra.

Prediction

I think India are the favorites in this game and they will register their first win over NZ in T20I’s.
