Gunners look for all three points as they take on Stoke
The Gunners will take on Stoke City on Saturday as their season have started in the Premier League. They will be favorites to take all the three points.
Kick-off : 4:30 PM BST
Venue : Britannia Stadium, Stoke-on-Trent
Referee : Andre Marriner
Arsenal got all the three points in the Premier League opener last Friday. They will be looking for a similar performance On Saturday.
Arsene Wenger’s side have historically struggled at Stoke. Although this year Mark Hughes’s squad looks a little light. Stoke also lost their opening game 1-0 against Everton.
Despite the Potters reputation of frustrating Arsenal in recent years, Wenger would feel that three points are their for the taking this weekend. But Arsenal’s defense is one problem and Hughes would like to exploit that.
Team news and possible line-ups
Bruno Martins Indi has signed on a permanent basis from Porto. Bojan Krkic should play against Arsenal on Saturday despite him yet to play to his potential.
Alexis Sanchez is still recovering from an abdominal injury and he might miss Saturday’s game. Laurent Koscielny is still serving a three match ban, so he should be unavailable.
Per Mertesacker and Shkodran Mustafi are both expected to be available for Wenger this weekend.
Aaron Ramsey will be confident of a start after a goal in the first game against Leicester. Granit Xhaka is expected to feature in the playing XI as well.
Due to Lacazette’s strong performance at the Emirates, Giroud will likely start from the bench again.
Hector Bellerin and Sead Kolasinac should feature in this game as well.
Stoke City XI : Butland, Zouma, Shawcross, Martins Indi, Diouf, Fletcher, Allen, Pieters, Bojan, Shaqiri, Berahino.
Arsenal XI : Cech, Mertesacker, Holding, Monreal, Bellerin, Xhaka, Ramsey, Kolasinac, Ozil, Lacazette, Welbeck.
Prediction
