France in quest for three important points against Luxembourg

France vs Luxembourg
France play Luxembourg on Sunday night in Toulouse
France and Luxembourg are set to play each other on Sunday night in the FIFA World Cup 2018 Qualifiers. France are the favorites in this one and will be eyeing three points.

Kick-off : 8:45 PM Local

Venue : Toulouse, France

The French played the Netherlands on Thursday night and won by a convincing margin of 4-0. They are looking dangerous and a win on Sunday night is all but certain.

They have now improved their goal difference, which is now 15-5. Also they have now climbed up to the first place in Group A. Sweden’s loss to Bulgaria helped them and they are now three points ahead of them.

On the other hand, Luxembourg also enjoyed their last outing as they won 1-0 against Belarus. But they are still lagging last in Group A.

France have a good record against Luxembourg and have beaten them 14 times in as many games. In this qualifying campaign the French beat them 3-1.

Deschamps is having a talented roster to choose from and on Sunday might give some guys rest. They should not have any troubles seeing minnows Luxembourg off.

Team news and possible line-ups

Jonathan Joubert should keep for Luxembourg on Sunday night. While Aurelien Joachim should captain the side.

Chris Philipps, Kevin Malget, Dirk Carlson and Marvin Martins should be the four defenders. Mathias Janisch and Laurent Jans should be available on Sunday.

Daniel da Mota and Maurice Deville should be the attackers.

As for Les Bleus, they might want to rest a few players on Sunday night and give new players a chance.

We might see Nabil Fekir being given a start.

Luxembourg XI : Joubert, Philipps, Malget, Carlson, M. Martins, Janisch, Jans, C. Martins, Da Mota, Joachim, Deville.

France XI : Areola, Kurzawa, Zouma, Umtiti, Sidibe, Pogba, Lemar, Kante, Fekir, Lacazette, Mbappe.

Prediction

I expect France to win 4-0.
