FIFA World Cup 2022 – South Korea vs Ghana, Group H, match preview, predicted lineups
South Korea play Ghana on Monday in 2022 FIFA Word Cup Qatar in Group H as the tournament moves ahead. Both teams will be looking for a win here.
Kick-off : 4:00 PM (Local)
Venue : Education City Stadium, Al Rayyan
South Korea have performed well in the FIFA World Cup before and they will hope to do better this time as they showed against Uruguay but they need to win and this game provides that opportunity.
The Taeguk Warriors can defend well and they will have to given the Portugal game. Plus they need to be attacking up front to churn out victories.
Manager Paulo Bento will use a 4-2-3-1 system on Monday.
On the other hand, Ghana wee dismal in their showing against Portugal and struggled at last to loose. They will require sincerity against much similar opponents in the Koreans.
The Black Stars will aim to keep a clean sheet on Monday with goals wining it for them. Ghana play Uruguay in the final group game.
Manager Otto Addo might use a 4-2-3-1 system.
Team news and possible lineups
Ghana have no fresh injury concerns for that at the moment.
As for the South Koreans, Hwang Hee-chan is injured and won’t be available. While Kim Min-jae is doubtful.
South Korea XI : Seung-gyu, Moon-hwan, Min-jae, Young-gwon, Jin-su, Jung, In-beom, Na, Li, Son, Ui-jo.
Ghana XI : Ati Zigi, Lamptey, Amartey, Djiku, Baba, Partey, Abdul-Samed, Sulemana, Kudus, A. Ayew, Williams.
Prediction
It should be a fascinating contest this one given both teams strengths but I think South Korea have an edge given where the World Cup is being played. They can outperform Ghana in a do-or-die game for the latter. But maybe a 1-1 draw.
