FIFA World Cup 2022 – Mexico vs Poland, Group C, match preview, predicted lineups
Mexico and Poland take on each other in FIFA World Cup 2022 Group C on Tuesday as the tournament moves ahead. Both teams will be looking for three points.
Kick-off : 7:00 PM (Local)
Venue : Stadium 974, Rass Abou Aboud
Mexico have a good record at FIFA World Cups to appear at the event mostly but if one issue which is a mojor one is their title cabinet is yet empty and they will look to correct that. They will have to strategize this time around.
El Tri have had upset results this year having incurring losses but they have also won games of football and they will like to carry on forward. They last lost to Sweden 1-2 in November in a friendly just before the world cup.
Manager Gerardo Martino will likely deploy a 4-3-3 system against the Ploes.
On the other hand, Poland themselves too have been at world cups before and they are one of the elite footballing nations on the planet. They would though like to compete for the world cup trophy.
The Eagles have got good results in many games this calendar year and despite a few losses to some bigger nations I don’t think they will change their approach to the 90 minutes football. They last won to Chile 1-0 in November friendly.
Boss Czeslaw Michniewicz will likely deploy a 3-5-2 formation on Tuesday.
Team news and possible lineups
Bartlomiej Dragowski, Jacek Goralski and Adam Buksa are all out injured for Poland.
As for the Mexicans, Jesus Corona is injured and hence won’t be available. While Raul Jimenez is a doubt and Henry Martin could be the replacement.
Mexico XI : Ochoa, Sanchez, Montes, Moreno, Gallardo, Alvarez, Herrera, Guardado, Lozano, Martin, Vega.
Poland XI : Szczesny, Bednarek, Glik, Kiwior, Bereszynski, Krychowiak, Zielinski, Szymanski, Zalewski, Swiderski, Lewandowski.
Prediction
Mexico and Poland both have enough experience at this level and I think it will make it count with both cancelling out each other a 1-1.
