FIFA World Cup 2022 – Cameroon vs Serbia, Group G, match preview, predicted lineups
Serbia and Cameroon go head to head in Monday in Group G FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar as the tournament moves ahead. Both teams will be looking for a win here.
Kick-off : 1:00 PM (Local)
Venue : Al Janoub Stadium, Al Wakrah
Serbia one of the best teams from Europe despite suffering an early hiccup against a much more superior team in Brazil should be contend with and must look forward to overhaul Cameroon and Switzerland. They should look to play quality football.
The Eagles need to be solid at the back, the lesson learned from Brazil plus they will need to score as much as they can against the Central Africans.
Manager Dragan Stojkovic will probably use a 3-4-2-1 system on Monday.
On the other hand, Cameroon should be disappointed with the defeat at the hands of Switzerland, a game where they could have got points. They have tough road now with Brazil waiting.
The Indomitable Lions require a solid defence against the Serbs who will pose threat while they will have to score to cause trouble.
Boss Rigobert Song might use a 4-3-3 formation on Monday.
Team news and possible lineups
Olivier Ntcham is injured and hence won’t be available for Cameroon.
On the other hand, Serbia have doubts over Filip Kostic.
Serbia XI : V. Milinkovic-Savic, Milenkovic, Veljkovic, Pavlovic, Zivkovic, Gudelj, S. Milenkovic-Savic, Mladenovic, Tadic, Vlahovic, Mitrovic.
Cameroon XI : Onana, Fai, N’Koulou, Castelletto, Tolo, Anguissa, Ondoua, Hongla, Mbuemo, Choupo-Moting, Toko Ekambi.
Prediction
I think Serbia have good chances in this game to score a win but Cameroon should succeed in providing resistance. I though think that Serbia will get the job done and earn three points winning 3-1.
