Faf du Plessis keen on having AB de Villiers back in the team
Their have been talks recently of AB de Villiers getting back to the South African team. It has now gathered storm.
The former Proteas skipper has intentions of playing the T20 World Cup later this year.
It’s nearly two years since AB de Villiers played for SA but he has been busy playing in T20 leagues across the globe. He is currently playing in the Big Bash League with Brisbane Heat.
He is in constant contact with the coach Mark Boucher and Faf du Plessis also confirmed on the same.

“We spoke about it, and I was very keen to have him back. That was even before the new coaching staff was on board,” Faf du Plessis said.
“It was a process of what does the next year looks like in terms of T20 cricket,” said Du Plessis. “How many games, where, when, what? And then try to unfold that in a way that he can come back.
The South African team management will like AB de Villiers having a few T20 assignments ahead of the T20 World Cup in Australia later this year. They would like to identify top players and take them to perform to full.
“He’s keen to come back. I don’t know when. “In an ideal world, we would like to make sure we can play our best 11, 12, 13 players for a few games or in a few series leading up to a T20 World Cup.”
