England tour of South Africa, 2020: 1st ODI preview, predicted lineups

South Africa will host England in the first ODI of the three match series on Tuesday after the 4-match Test series is now completed. England start this game as the favourites.

England have been fabulous on this tour so far winning the Test series 3-1. They will now look to outperform South Africa in the one-dayers.
England might be devoid of their World Cup 2019 stalwarts like Ben Stokes, Jos Butler and Jofra Archer but still have the trio of Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy.
Coming to the game, England might look to bat first on a wicket good for batting. While English spinners will come into play given the wickets favouring spin bowling.
The English team will look to bat well scoring enough runs maybe 300 if bat first. While try to restrict SA if bowl first.
On the other hand, South Africa have been poor on their home turf and the recent dip in form will be a cause of concern.
The Proteas have included a refreshed lineup for the one-days versus England and Quinton de Kock will skipper the side.
South Africa knows the conditions well and the likes of Tabraiz Shamsi after the MSL 2019 exploits and a spin friendly wicket will look to deliver the goods. Lungi Ngidi will also look to recreate his MSL 2019 exploits.
In batting South Africa have depth and the likes of Janneman Malan, Rassie van der Dussen and captain Quinton de Kock will look to deliver the goods.
South Africa are ahead in terms of the head to head in ODI’s against England and they will be boosted by the fact.
