England eye Semi-Final berth as they take on the Scandinavian giants Sweden

England vs Sweden
England will play Sweden on Saturday in the Quarter-Finals of 2018 FIFA World Cup as both teams eye Semi-Final berth
England and Sweden are set to go head to head on Saturday in 2018 World Cup Quarter-Finals as both teams eye progression to the Semi’s. England go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 5:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Cosmos Arena, Samara

The Three Lions are on quest of winning the world cup after 52 long years. To do so they are on the right path but first needs to see Sweden through in the Quarter-Finals.

England are the favorites and have got the right set of players to do the job on Saturday evening. They should avoid complacency against Sweden who have been giant killers coming into this world cup. England just needs to play their normal football and it will to take them forward.

On the other hand, Sweden go into this game as the underdogs and that in a way helps them to be not in pressure and give their best shot. They know 1966 world cup winners are a tough side and they will have to give their all to maybe see any result.

England doesn’t have a particularly good track record against Sweden and on Saturday they will have to look to change that a bit.

Team news and possible line-ups

Mikael Lustig is banned for Sweden for this game and hence will be unavailable. Emil Krafth is likely going to replace him. While Sebastian Larsson is back after suspension and will play the weekend game.

As for England, Jamie Vardy and Ashley Young are doubtful ahead of the Sweden game.

Sweden XI : Olsen, Krafth, Lindelof, Granqvist, Augustinsson, Claesson, Larsson, Ekdal, Forsberg, Toivonen, Berg.

England XI : Pickford, Walker, Stones, Maguire, Young, Lingard, Henderson, Alli, Trippier, Sterling, Kane.

Prediction

It should be a close game between two good sides but in the end I expect England to prevail 2-1 in extra-time.
