Chelsea will play Southampton on Thursday in 2019/20 Premier League on Boxing Day as players are ready for a post Christmas game. The Blues go into this game as the favourites.

Chelsea registered a fabulous away win over Tottenham Hotspur the last time they played before Christmas on Sunday. They would like to cary over that form on Boxing Day when they take on Southampton.
The Blues currently are 4th in the table after 18 matches with 32 points. The goal difference is +8.
Southampton should be a straightforward game in which the result is expected to be putting smile on Chelsea fans in what should be a Christmas gift.
Frank Lampard will tell his players to be amongst the goals giving nothing to Southampton. A solid showing will be enough to get the three points.
On the other hand, Southampton are struggling in the Premier League this season just 3 points clear of relegation zone.
They will look to get points amongst their kitty to be on the safer side. Currently they are 17th in the points table after 18 matches with 18 points.
The Saints know playing Chelsea in their own backyard on Boxing Day will be a hard job. But they will be focussed on the job in hands.
Ralph Hasenhuttl will be tasked with fielding a competitive enough side that can get points. For that Southampton will need to be good defensively.
