Chelsea eye win in their first game of 2018/19 Premier League
Chelsea and Huddersfield are set to play each other on Saturday as both begin their 2018/19 Premier League campaigns. The Blues go into this game as the favorites.
Kick-off : 3:00 PM (Local)
Venue : John Smith’s Stadium, Huddersfield
Chelsea won the Premier League two seasons ago and they will be looking for similar results this term too. They had a disappointing last season and would surely be hoping to forget that as they embark upon a new journey as the new season commence.
The Blues had less time to prepare for the new season as due to the world cup. In the pre season friendlies they had mixed success. They also lost the FA Community Shield to Man City.
On the other hand, Huddersfield will be excited that they are having another season in the top flight of English football. They will certainly look to finish better than the 16th position they got last season.
But they know that their first game this season is not an easy one to start with playing against giants Chelsea despite playing at home.
The Blues have been extremely successful against Huddersfield in recent times and they will look to maintain that record.
Team news and possible line-ups
Danny Williams will not be available for Huddersfield for the weekend game.
As for Chelsea, Willy Caballero is available and will likely play.
Huddersfield XI : Lossl, Hadergjonaj, Schindler, Zanka, Kongolo, Mooy, Hogg, Van La Parra, Pritchard, Diakhaby, Mounie.
Chelsea XI : Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Rudiger, Alonso, Jorginho, Kante, Barkley, Willian, Morata, Pedro.
Prediction
I think it will be tightly contested game as both teams will give their all but in the end I expect Chelsea to come out on top. I expect the Blues to win it 3-1.
