Chelsea will play Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday in 2018/19 UEFA Europa League Semi-Final first leg as the season nears it’s completion. The Blues go into this game as the favourites.

Chelsea are doing OK domestically but doing well in Europe is what they will have their real focuses on. The Blues know winning the Europa League is not far away and they must give it their all in games to come playing their brand of football.

Chelsea have got a fairly easy tie against German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt in the semi’s and they must make the opportunity count and set up a final against potentially Arsenal. They will be looking to score away goal and get a winning start to the tie.

On the other hand, Eintracht Frankfurt did well in the quarter-finals of 2018/19 UEFA Europa League outclassing Portuguese outfit Benfica on away goals to reach till here. But real test will begin now as they face a big club.

Eintracht Frankfurt know Chelsea are a tough proposition and playing them even though at home should be an uphill task. But Eintracht Frankfurt will look to give their all and hoping for the best.

This will be the first time the two teams will square-off.

Taleb Tawatha will not be available for Eintracht Frankfurt for the Chelsea game as due to injury. While Ante Rebic is suspended and hence will be unavailable.

As for The Blues, Ethan Ampadu, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Antonio Rudiger will all be unavailable as due to injuries.

Prediction

It should be a good game but Chelsea should have enough gas in the tank to pull this one off. They might win 3-1.
