Brazil triumph in 2019 Copa America on home soil as they outclass Peru
Brazil yesterday beat Peru in Copa America 2019 final to lift the trophy after a gap of 12 years. It’s party time in Brazil.
The Selecao played their brand of soccer to outplay a determined Peru side who finally managed to score against Brazil in this year’s Copa America.
The victory gave Brazil fans all over a happy memory while history was created in the Maracana. Peru must be proud that they reached till here all though disheartened for a poor performance in final.
Gabriel Jesus was in fine form and scored an important goal for Brazil before being red carded which will be hard to digest. Jesus scored 48th minute just before half time.
The first goal of the game came from Everton Soares in the 15th minute which put Brazil in the drivers seat. Peru were chasing the game then.
Peru though equalised in the 44th minute with a converted penalty from Paolo Guerrero. It was even Stevens though Gabriel Jesus didn’t let this be the case as earlier mentioned.
The second half started with Brazil and Peru both looking to have a go at each other and fans were witnessing the climax of a final.
The whole half was going scoreless until Richarlison sealed the deal for Brazil with a 90th minute penalty.
All done and dusted Peru knew it would be tough to compete against a mighty Brazil side and is was the case. As for The Selecao they showed Brazil’s dominating nature when it comes to soccer.
2019 Copa America is now officially over as Brazil lifted the prestigious trophy with pride and we look forward to the next tournament.
It was a good tournament full of ups and downs and quality soccer was played throughout with South American flair. Good end to a fine tournament.
