Brazil eye a place in the Semi-Finals of Copa America 2019 as they play Paraguay in the Quarters

Brazil have had a good tournament so far and are yet to concede a goal but their main aim is to win the tournament and win the games that matter the most. They will have to play their brand of soccer.
Games against Peru and Bolivia were the easy ones in which the Selecao passed with flying colours and the real test now begins in the knockout phases. The games like the one against Venezuela in the group stages needs to be avoided which was a goalless draw. It shows Brazil’s weaknesses and opponents will look to exploit it.
Now facing a strong team in Paraguay in the semi’s should be a testing game but I think Brazil have enough firepower to overcome Eduardo Berizzo’s side. They will have to be solid defensively while proactive in the final third.
On the other hand, Paraguay will be feeing lucky to be in the quarter-finals after an OK performance in the group stages. They are in here as one of the best two third-placed teams.
But the size of task waiting is much more for Paraguay and their happiness might be short-lived. As Brazil the five time world champions are an extremely tough proposition especially in their own backyard but Paraguay will have to give their all and play out of their skins if they hope to spring a miracle.
It won’t be easy they know it and not winning a game in the group stages is not a good thing with drawing against the likes of Qatar shouldn’t boost their morale, also lost to Colombia. But performance against Argentina should lift their spirits and they will look to perform.
Brazil have a good record against Paraguay and they will look to continue the good work.
