Barcelona look for three points as they host Olympiacos
Barcelona are set to play Olympiacos on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League as the season moves ahead. Barca go into the game as the favorites.
Kick-off : 8:45 PM (Local)
Venue : Camp Nou, Barcelona
Barcelona will face a team which is yet to get a point in the group. Olympiacos have so far played two games and lost both games.
After playing out a draw against Atletico Madrid on Saturday in La Liga, barca might be a little disappointed but they will should take heart from the fact that they have 100% record in the Champions League so far this season.
Barcelona are expected to do well against the likes of Olympiacos, so if they drop points on Wednesday, a lot of questions will be raised.
Team news and possible line-ups
Olympiacos have a few injury worries ahead of the Barcelona clash. So manager Takis Lemonis will have to choose accordingly.
El Fardou Ben Nabouhane is doubtful for Wednesday’s clash as due to hip problem. Whereas Karim Ansarifard will be hopeful of leading the line once again for Olympiacos.
As for Barcelona, they have no new injury concerns for this match. It means Leo Messi and Luis Suarez will once again start up front.
Ousmane Dembele will remain unavailable while Gerard Deulofeu will be hopeful of a start on Wednesday night.
Rafinha will also be not available for Wednesday’s game as he remains sidelined due to injury.
Olympiacos XI : Kapino, Elabdellaoui, Romao, Engels, Figueiras, Odjidja-Ofoe, Gillet, Carcela-Gonzalez, Fortounis, Marin, Emenike.
Barcelona XI : Ter Stegen, Roberto, Pique, Umtiti, Alba, Paulinho, Rakitic, Iniesta, Deulofeu, Messi, Suarez.
Prediction
It shouldn’t be hard task for Barcelona to get victory in this one. I expect them to win convincingly this game. The scoreline in the end could be 3-0.
