Barcelona look for three points away against Olympiacos
Barcelona are set to play Olympiacos on Tuesday night in the UEFA Champions League as the season moves ahead. Barca go into this game as the favorites.
Kick-off : 9:45 PM (Local)
Venue : Karaiskakis Stadium, Piraeus
Barcelona could book their place in the knockout stages if they win on Tuesday. Olympiacos though need a positive result to keep their slim hopes alive.
Barca beat the Greek champions at home in the first leg of the double header. They will now be very confident going into this game.
So far Barcelona and Olympiacos have played each other only once. It was their first meeting a fortnight ago.
Barcelona have now won seven and lost none of their last eight meetings with Greek opposition. Overall they have won ten and lost just two of their 13 matches against Super League sides.
All in all it should be a good game on Tuesday night as both teams will give their all.
Team news and possible line-ups
Seba will be unavailable for Olympiacos on Tuesday night due to a knee injury. While El Fardou Ben Nabouhane will also be not available as due to hip problem.
Emmanuel Emenike and Botia are both available and will play against Barcelona. Whereas Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe is also available and will likely be given a start.
As for Barcelona, Gerard Pique will not be available for Tuesday’s game as he is suspended. Javier Mascherano will likely replace him in the center-back position.
Ousmane Dembele though remains sidelined. While Paulinho is available and might be given a start against Olympiacos.
Messi and Luis Suarez will once again lead the line for the Blaugrana.
Olympiacos XI : Proto, Elabdellaoui, Engels, Botia, Koutris, Romao, Odjidja-Ofoe, Pardo, Fortounis, Androutsos, Emenike.
Barcelona XI : Ter Stegen, Roberto, Mascherano, Umtiti, Digne, Paulinho, Busquets, Iniesta, Deulofeu, Suarez, Messi.
Prediction
I expect Barcelona to win 3-1 on the night.
