Barcelona eye three points away against Celta Vigo in La Liga
Barcelona are set to play Celta Vigo away on Tuesday night as the season comes to a close. Barca go into this match as the favorites.
Kick-off : 9:00 PM (Local)
Venue : Balaidos, Vigo
Barcelona won 2-1 against Valencia at the weekend and will be in a pretty positive frame of mind going away to Vigo. They know they just need to carry on the winning process.
The Blaugrana are currently winning the La Liga as they are atop, clear of the second placed Atletico Madrid by 11 points. They know that few more positive results in coming games will seal the deal. Barca have Copa del Rey final next on Saturday against Sevilla.
On the other hand, Celta Vigo did well in La Liga this term and are currently ninth in the table after 32 games with 43 points. They know they have a sterner test against Barcelona ahead.
So far Barcelona and Celta Vigo have played each other 41 times. Out of that Barcelona have won on 21 occasions while Celta Vigo have won just 9 games, 11 other games have been a draw.
Team news and possible line-ups
Hugo Mallo and Pablo Hernandez will both be not available for the Tuesday night game as due to suspension.
As for Barcelona, Ivan Rakitic will not be available as due to injury. While Ernesto Valverde will rest few of his key players ahead of the Copa del Rey final on Saturday. It means Andres Iniesta, Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets will be unavailable.
Celta Vigo XI : Alvarez, Roncaglia, Cabral, Gomez, Jonny, Wass, Radoja, Lobotka, Sisto, Gomez, Aspas.
Barcelona XI : Ter Stegen, Semedo, Mina, Umtiti, Digne, Vidal, Paulinho, Gomes, Coutinho, Dembele, Alcacer.
Prediction
I expect Barcelona to get the job done and earn three points. I think they will win this game 3-2.
