Barcelona eye semi-final berth against Roma in Champions League quarter-final 2nd leg
Barcelona are set to play AS Roma on Tuesday night in 2017/18 Champions League quarter-final 2nd leg. Barcelona go into this game as the favorites.
Kick-off : 8:45 PM (Local)
Venue : Stadio Olimpico, Rome
Barcelona had a great last week as they registered back to back victories in the Champions League and La Liga against Roma and Leganes respectively. Leo Messi scored a wonderful hat-trick against Leganes. Barca would like to carry on the same form.
Barcelona would desperately like to win the Champions League and are on their way. Domestically they have almost won the La Liga and are favorites for the Copa del Rey. If they manage to win all the three trophies it would be a wonderful treble.
On the other hand, Roma had a bad week and suffered back to back defeats in the Champions League against Barcelona and Fiorentina respectively. They face a daunting task on Tuesday against Barcelona in Champions League return leg.
So far Roma and Barcelona have played each other on 6 occasions. Out of that Barca have won 3 times while loosing once, 2 other games have been a draw.
Team news and possible line-ups
Cengiz Under is doubtful for Roma for Tuesday’s game. While Rick Karsdorp will not be available as due to injury.
As for Barcelona, Lucas Digne will be unavailable as due to injury. While Philippe Coutinho is ineligible to play.
Roma XI : Alisson, Peres, Fazio, Manolas, A. Kolarov, Pellegrini, De Rossi, R. Nainggolan, Florenzi, E. Dzeko, El Shaarawy.

Prediction
I think this game will be a draw. It will end 2-2. But I expect Barcelona to progress to the semi’s. They should progress 6-3 on aggregate.
