Arsenal look for three points at home against Newcastle
Arsenal are all set to play Newcastle on Saturday in the Premier League as the season moves ahead. The Gunners go into this game as the favorites.
Kick-off : 3:00 PM (Local)
Venue : Emirates Stadium, London
Arsenal have not won last three of their Premier league games and are desperately searching for a win.
The Gunners are currently on 30 points from 17 games. They trail table toppers Man City by 19 points. They know they need to keep winning games.
On the other hand, Newcastle are on just 15 points from 17 games. They are lying in the bottom half of the table. It will be another sterner test for them at the Emirates.
So far Arsenal and Newcastle have played each other 178 times. Out of that the Gunners have won on 74 occasions while Newcastle have won on 66 occasions, 38 other games have been a draw.
It should be a good game on Saturday as both teams will give their all.
Team news and possible line-ups
Jonjo Shelvey is suspended for Newcastle for Saturday’s game. Other than that Rafael Benitez have a full squad to choose from.
As for Arsenal, Aaron Ramsey and Shkodran Mustafi will not be available for the weekend game due to injury.
While Jack Wilshere is available and might play. Although Santi Cazorla remains sidelined.
Newcastle XI : Darlow, Yedline, Lascelles, Lejeune, Manquillo, Colback, Merino, Ritchie, Diame, Atsu, Gayle.
Arsenal XI : Cech, Bellerin, Koscielny, Monreal, Kolasinac, Elneny, Xhaka, Iwobi, Ozil, Sanchez, Lacazette.
Prediction
While it’s not a given that the Gunners will win on Saturday, they certainly are the favorites. I expect them to get the job done and earn three points. The scoreline could be 3-1. The goalscorers might be Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette for Arsenal and Dwight Gayle for Newcastle.
