Arsenal look for three points at home against Everton
Arsenal are set to play Everton on Saturday in the Premier League as the season moves ahead. Both teams will be looking for three points.
Kick-off : 5:30 PM (Local)
Venue : Emirates Stadium, London
The Gunners are currently sixth in the points table after 25 games with 42 points. They are 26 points behind table toppers Manchester City. Arsenal must keep having positive results if they eye a top four finish.
Arsenal lost to Swansea City on Tuesday. They will be disappointed with that but will need to lift themselves ahead of the weekend game.
On the other hand, Everton are currently ninth in the points table after 25 games with 31 points. They will hope for a good result on Saturday to keep climbing in the table.
Everton defeated Leicester City in midweek in the Premier League and must be in a positive frame of mind. Although Arsenal away will be a sterner test for them.
So far Everton and Arsenal have played each other 209 times. Out of that Arsenal have won on 104 occasions while Everton have won on 60 occasions, 45 other games have been a draw.
All in all it should be a good game on Saturday as both teams will give their all.
Team news and possible line-ups
James McCarthy will not be available for the weekend game as due to injury. While Leighton Baines, Maarten Stekelenburg and Ramiro Funes Mori remain sidelined.
As for Arsenal, Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck are both doubtful for the Everton game. While Santi Cazorla remains sidelined.
Everton XI : Pickford, Coleman, Jagielka, Keane, Martina, Gueye, Schneiderlin, Davies, Walcott, Tosun, Sigurdsson.
Arsenal XI : Cech, Bellerin, Koscielny, Mustafi, Monreal, Ramsey, Elneny, Xhaka, Ozil, Lacazette, Mkhitaryan.
Prediction
It should be a close game on Saturday but in the end I expect Arsenal to take all the three points. I think the Gunners will win 2-1.
