Arsenal will take on Standard Liege on Thursday in 2019/20 UEFA Europa League as the tournament moves ahead. The Gunners go into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 8:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Emirates Stadium, London

Arsenal have started their Europa League campaign in convincing fashion winning away in Frankfurt and they will look to continue the good run they are having at the moment.

Unai Emery have made his players very responsible for getting the job done in tough games which is a good habit and I expect them to do well at home.

The Gunners might have little knowledge about their opponents in Belgian outfit Standard Liege but they will surely try to bring obstacles in the path.

Arsenal will need to clear those obstacles to win three points which they are capable of. Attacking football is what they will be after.

On the other hand, Standard Liege themselves started in fashion overcoming Vitoria SC of Portugal but difficulties start now.

Standard Liege will be aware of Arsenal’s quality and their stature as a global club. So they will have to plan things accordingly.

Standard Liege should be a bit defensive minded in their approach as Arsenal will be threatening from the beginning. They need to make use of whatever opportunities come their way.

Arsenal have an excellent record against Standard Liege and they will look to continue the good work.

Team news and possible line-ups

Orlando Sa won’t be available for Standard Liege for the Arsenal game as due to injury.

As for The Gunners, Calum Chambers will not be available as due to injury.

Standard Liege XI : Milinkovic-Savic, Vojvoda, Vanheusden, Laifis, Gavory, Bastien, Bokadi, M’Poku, Carcela-Gonzalez, Emond, Limbombe.

Arsenal XI : Martinez, Bellerin, Mustafi, Holding, Tierney, Torreira, Ceballos, Nelson, Willock, Ozil, Martinelli.

Prediction

It’s not too difficult to predict the outcome of this match with Arsenal being so dominant in this fixture over the years. I expect another Arsenal win here, maybe 3-1.
