Arsenal eye victory away against Leicester City in 2017/18 Premier League
Arsenal are set to play Leicester City away on Wednesday in the Premier League as the season nears it’s conclusion. Both teams will be looking for a win.
Kick-off : 7:45 PM (Local)
Venue : King Power Stadium, Liecester
The Gunners did well to give Arsene Wenger a tribute on Sunday by thrashing Burnley 5-0 at home in his last home game as Arsenal manager. Arsene Wenger will leave the club at the end of the season after a nearly 22 year tenure.
Arsenal have now 2 games left this season and both are away and they wanna finish on a high. But they know Leicester is away next and they will be a tough test especially considering Arsenal haven’t yet picked a single away point in 2018.
On the other hand, Leicester aren’t in good form off late and have lost four of their last five games. They had an OK season this term and are desperate for some points.
Arsenal by the way lead the head to head against Leicester by 65-29. Both teams have played 45 draws.
Team news and possible line-ups
Wilfred Ndidi, Marc Albrighton, Ben Chilwell, Robert Huth and Daniel Amartey will all be not available for Leicester for the midweek game as due to injury.
While Aleksandr Dragovic, Danny Simpson, Shinji Okazaki and Kasper Schmeichel are all doubtful. Also Matty James remain sidelined.
As for Arsenal, Mohamed Elneny and Laurent Koscielny will not be available as due to injury. Whereas Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla are both doubts.
Leicester City XI : Hamer, Benalouane, Morgan, Maguire, Fuchs, Mahrez, Choudhury, Iborra, Diabate, A. Silva, Vardy.
Arsenal XI : Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Chambers, Monreal, Xhaka, Ramsey, Wilshere, Ozil, Lacazette, Aubameyang.
Prediction
I think it will be a close game between two of Premier League’s good sides. I expect it to end 1-1.
