Algeria become champions of Africa as they beat Senegal to glory in 2019 AFCON

Algeria yesterday defeated Senegal 1-0 in AFCON 2019 final

Algeria yesterday defeated Senegal in AFCON 2019 final to lift the prestigious African Nations Cup trophy in Egypt. Both teams played good soccer.

Senegal would have been though disappointed in the end as they ended up on a loosing side. It was a match and occasion on which they really could have lifted their spirits and played to win it after all.

Algeria also defeated Senegal earlier in the tournament and they will be more satisfied now as this was a significant moment which helped them lift the trophy.

Algeria are a good side which they proved showing their real game which is brilliant and they should take the confidence in more meaningful games ahead. They should focus on building a more stronger world class team.

In terms of the game they started with attacking brand of football and in process got the goal they were looking for in just the 2nd minute of the game.

Right from the start were Senegal trailing as they looked for that an all important equaliser but the first half came to a frustrating close for the Senegalese. Although very relaxing for the North African outfit.

It was all required in the second half for the two teams to show their abilities and take the game in result winning the all prestigious AFCON trophy.

The story was the same for both the sides in the second half as none of them scored and the game was still showing Algeria were ahead by a goal in the game against Senegal.

It was it then for the football fans as the winner was decided with the game done. Algeria of course triumphing to glory. Disappointment for Senegal.

Baghdad Bounedjah was Algeria’s hero then as they lifted the trophy and celebrations would have been in full swing across Algeria and their football lovers.

We wait for the next AFCON now in two years time in Cameroon in 2021.
