India aim to win series, West Indies aim to draw level
India will take on the West Indies in the final One-Day of the five match series in Jamaica. The match will be played at Sabina Park and will begin at 7:30 PM IST.
West Indies who won the last ODI by 11 runs will be up in confidence. On the other hand, India will be a bit shaken on not being able to achieve a below par total.
If the West Indies are able to repeat Sunday’s performance then we are going to see a good contest. But if India play the way they did in the second and third ODI’s then it’s gonna be one sided.
MS Dhoni’s slow innings was one of many reasons India failed to win the fourth ODI. He now has scored the slowest half century by an Indian in a decade. He will be looking to contribute to the team as he used to do positively.
Indian top order have been a reason for many recent Indian victories. Ajinkya Rahane is in good nick and India will be hoping of another of his half century contributions. Shikhar Dhawan is also in some good form and he will need to fire again.
India have been vulnerable in terms of their middle order in recent times. Any team who can take some early wickets against them are in with a match winning opportunity. West Indies will be looking to exploit this weakness in the Indian team.
In contrast to Indian batting this series, Indian bowling have been consistent. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav to name a few have been good with their tactics. It will be a plus point for India going into the fifth ODI.
On the other hand, West Indies will look to perform with the bat, this has been their weakness in the series. Shai Hope is among the few West Indian batsman who have shown some form with an 81-run innings during the second ODI.
Jason Holder who was the hero for the West Indies in the last match, will be the one to look out for. Bowling have been better then their batting and they will hoping for a good day with it.
