Arsenal will play BATE on Thursday in the second leg of their round of 32 tie in 2018/19 Europa League. The Gunners go into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 5:55 PM (Local)

Venue : Emirates Stadium, London

Arsenal did poorly in the first leg against in Belarus against BATE as they succumbed to a shocking 0-1 defeat. But they will more then require a better performance at home if they are to progress to the next round.

The Gunners know the quality of BATE and they need to play their football accordingly. 0-1 deficit is not such a huge deficit but Arsenal need to make sure that they don’t concede an away goal plus score as many as they can to ensure safe passage.

Arsenal next play Southampton in the Premier League.

On the other hand, BATE will be extremely happy with their performance against Arsenal so far in that they actually are ahead at the moment and did manage to successfully defeat them.

The job’s not done though as they must safely negotiate the second leg in London and then move forward. It will be tough but they will give their all and hope for the best.

Team news and possible line-ups

Yevgeniy Berezkin is available for BATE for the Arsenal game and might play.

As for The Gunners, Alexandre Lacazette will be unavailable as due to suspension.

BATE XI : Scherbitski, Rios, Volkov, Filipenko, Filipovic, Baga, Dragun, Berezkin, Milic, Skavysh, Stasevich.

Arsenal XI : Leno, Maitland-Niles, Mustafi, Koscielny, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Torreira, Iwobi, Suarez, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang.

Prediction

It’s a really important game for The Gunners and they will give their all. Home advantage as a huge benefit as well. So I expect an Arsenal win here convincingly. They might win 3-0 with the goalscorers being Alex Iwobi, Mkhitaran and Aubameyang.
