Arsenal eye winning start in 2018/19 UEFA Europa League
Arsenal are set to play Vorskla on Thursday night in the Europa League as both begin their campaigns. The Gunners go into this game as the favourites.
Kick-off : 8:00 PM (Local)
Venue : Emirates Stadium, London
Arsenal will be disappointed knowing the fact that they aren’t in this year’s UEFA Champions League but shouldn’t be disheartened as they can still win the Europa League and make a name for themselves.
The Gunners though will have to play their best football and they are very capable of that. They know the importance of a good start and will be out their to get the three points against Vorskla.
Arsenal are almost guaranteed progression to next round from a group containing the likes of Sporting, Vorskla and Qarabag.
On the other hand, Vorskla will be out their to gain experience from playing the likes Arsenal in big competitions like the Europa League.
It will be a hard task for them to progress through to the next round given the presence of competitive teams in the group. But they will have to remain positive and hope for the best.
Both Arsenal and Vorskla have never played each other before.
Team news and possible line-ups
Denis Vasin, Vladimir Odaryuk and Yuriy Kolomoets will all be not available for Vorskla for the midweek game as due to injury.
As for Arsenal, Bernd Leno, Stephan Lichsteiner and Lucas Torreira are all available and might play.
Vorskla XI : Shust, Perduta, Dallku, Chesnakov, Artur, Kobakhidze, Sharpar, Sklyar, Rebenok, Kulach, Careca.
Arsenal XI : Leno, S. Lichsteiner, S. Mustafi, Sokratis, N. Monreal, Torreira, Elneny, D. Welbeck, M. Ozil, Aubameyang, A. Lacazette.
Prediction
I expect Arsenal to win this game on Thursday night and get the full three points. They might win 4-0.
