India vs England – tests 2016

The last time England were here, India lost at home & the English had a great time. I bet this time it will be different with India having Virat Kohli as captain & the team in some great form specially at home.

In the the series against Bangladesh recently which ended in a draw England were exposed, showing their weakness against spin.

If England are to compete in India & tackle the likes of R.Ashwin & Jadeja they have to play spin well. One thing which will haunt England will be they themselves not having that quality of spinners which can be said world class.

I think this series could well end up being one sided with India may even be winning 5-0. India should try some new players & see if they are good at the test level. Virat Kohli vs Joe Root will be a rivalry that everyone will be looking at in this series.

I expect Virat to make some records & try to win test matches on his own. It will really be an important series for Alaistair Cook, as the results here in India might decide his captaincy future.

India is the no.1 ranked test side in the world & they should look to maintain this status. India have the no.1 ranked test bowler in the world in Ravichandran Ashwin & I think he will be the key in this series.

Ajinkya Rahane will also play an important part in the series as he did in the recent series’s at home against New Zealand & South Africa.

Rajkot is where the first match of the series will be played at & the ground will host it’s 1st ever test match, so all the best to the people of Rajkot. Despite being a new experience for the teams to play test cricket at Rajkot, the teams should stay positive. Finally i have to say that i am eager for the test series to get started.
