Reports have suggested that Real Madrid’s trip to Catalonia could be called off after the region declared independence from Spain on Friday.
The Police are assessing the safety risks of allowing the fixture to go ahead after the Catalan government voted to leave Spain on Friday.
If the game goes ahead, a large police presence is inevitable and the team bus of Real Madrid might also be changed.
In terms of the game it should be a good competitive game as both teams will give their all.
Team news and possible line-ups
Girona is unlikely to change their starting XI which won 2-1 away to Deportivo. So the manager will play their strongest XI.
Pablo Maffeo, Aleix Garcia and Larry Kayode are all available and will likely start on Sunday. While Douglas Luiz and Marlos Moreno are also in contention.
As for Real Madrid, they remain without Dani Carvajal, Mateo Kovacic, Gareth Bale and Keylor Navas.
Whereas Kiko Casilla is available and will likely play on Sunday. While Luca Zidane is a doubt for Sunday’s game.

While it’s not a given that Real Madrid will win on Sunday, they certainly go into this game as the favorites. I expect Los Blancos to win this game comfortably. The scoreline could be 3-0. The goal scorers could be Benzema (2), and Ronaldo.
