FIFA World Cup 2022 – Tunisia vs France, Group D, match preview, predicted lineups
Defending champions France and Tunisia go head to head on Wednesday in one of two early games of Group D in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 as the tournament moves ahead.
Kick-off : 6:00 PM (Local)
Venue : Education City Stadium, Al Rayyan
France have already qualified for the next round and they will now just take this game as an experiment one where they can look to dominate and win. They will look to play their brand of football.
Les Bleus will demand a little more from the backline after conceding in the last two games. On attacking front they will need to follow the winning template.
Boss Didier Deschamps will go with his tried-&-tested 4-2-3-1 formation.
On the other hand, Tunisia will be very disappointed with their loss occurring to the Aussies. But they can take heart from the fact that they drew with the Danes. They will be tested against the French.
The Eagles of Carthage’s defence has showed some respite but definitely require more if they are to progress. But can they score in the final third is a question they must answer as good teams tend to.
Manager Jalel Kadri might deploy a 3-4-2-1 on Wednesday.
Team news and possible lineups
Tunisia has no fresh injury concerns at the moment.
As for the French, goalkeeper Alphonse Areola is a doubt.
France XI : Mandanda, Pavard, Konate, Varane, Camavinga, Guendouzi, Fofana, Coman, Griezmann, Mbappe, Thuram.
Tunisia XI : Dahmen, Bronn, Talbi, Meriah, Kechrida, Skhiri, Laidouni, Abdi, Msakni, Sliti, Khazri.
Prediction
I expect France to dominate this fixture but with importance of situation for the Tunisians it will not be easy. In the end France to win 2-1.
