FIFA World Cup 2022 – Belgium vs Morocco, Group F, match preview, predicted lineups
Belgium play Morocco on Sunday in Group F in FIFA World Cup 2022 as the tournament moves ahead. Belgium go into this game as the favourites.
Kick-off : 4:00 PM (Local)
Venue : Al Thumama Stadium, Doha
Belgium always have loads of expectations on them and to really go out and win the FIFA World Cup is a different ordeal as they will find this time around. They won their first game against the Canadians and must win the second one.
The Red Devils were rock solid in the previous game and a solid contest again would have them in great stead. They would look not to take Morocco lightly and score blisteringly.
Manager Roberto Martinez will use his 3-4-2-1 system on Sunday.
On the other hand, Morocco gave a good account of themselves in that goalless draw to Croatia to start off things for them in this World Cup in the Arabic world. A little more support from the fans might be a good feeling instilled for a move on.
The Atlas Lions will require solidity at the back against a threatening Belgian side. Plus a good effort in front of goal will probably get the job done.
Boss Walid Regragui will utilise four men at the back and three in front in a 4-3-3 formation.
Team news and possible lineups
Morocco will likely play the same XI as in the previous game.
The Belgians are however in doubt for their main man Romelu Lukaku.
Belgium XI : Courtois, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Dendoncker, Meunier, Onana, Witsel, Carrasco, De Bruyne, E. Hazard, Batshuayi.
Morocco XI : Bounou, Hakimi, Aguerd, Saiss, Mazraoui, Ounahi, Amrabat, Amallah, Ziyech, En-Nesyri, Boufal.
Prediction
Belgium honestly should have enough for Morocco here and I expect them to win 2-0.
