Liverpool make an away trip to Manchester City
Liverpool and Manchester City play each other on Saturday as the title hopefuls face off at the Etihad Stadium.
Kick-off : 11:30 AM (Local)
Venue : City of Manchester Stadium, Manchester
Referee : Jon Moss
Both sides are in the top four in the points table after collecting seven points from their opening three games. City still seek a first home win after being held to a 1-1 draw by Everton.
Liverpool played Arsenal in their last Premier League game which they won 4-0. They will be looking to continue the winning form.
A win for either Guardiola or Klopp on Saturday would send the victors top – at least before United play later in the day.
Liverpool in their opening game of the season drew against Watford. So, they would like to improve on their away record.
All in all, it should be a good game on Saturday as both teams will be looking to outplay each other.
Team news and possible line-ups
Gundogan of City remains a doubt due to injury. While Kyle Walker is back after serving a one-match ban.
As for Liverpool, Philippe Coutinho remains a doubt for Saturday’s game. Although he did play for Brazil during the international break.
Klopp would go for the same players who defeated Arsenal 4-0, despite Oxlade-Chamberlain joining Liverpool from the Gunners.
Adam Lallana and Nathaniel Clyne are expected to miss out Saturday’s game due to injury. Simon Mignolet is available and might play against Manchester City.
Manchester City XI : Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Otamendi, Mendy, De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Silva, Bernardo Silva, Jesus, Sterling.
Liverpool XI : Mignolet, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Matip, Lovren, Moreno, Can, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Mane.
Prediction
Both teams have a strong line-up and it will be a good contest on Saturday. I expect it to end 2-2.
