Brazil play Colombia away in FIFA World Cup 2018 Qualifiers
Brazil and Colombia are set to play each other on Tuesday in FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia Qualifiers. Brazil have already qualified for the World Cup and will look for the winning momentum.
Kick-off : 3:30 PM (Local)
Venue : Estadio Metropolitano, Barranquilla
Brazil played Ecuador last Thursday and won comfortably. They will go into this game with a lot more confidence.
This will be the 16th round of match in the World Cup Qualifying group of South America. So far Brazil have done pretty well in it.
Brazil and Colombia are the two leading teams in the points table. The Brazilians have already qualified but Colombia have a long way to go.
Brazil have won their last four outings with Colombia but they lost the match at Copa America. This will be their first match in Colombia since 2007.
It should be a good game on Tuesday as both teams have quality players.
Team news and possible line-ups
Colombia will be missing many of its top players as a result of injury meaning they will not be at full strength.
But Los Cafeteros still has a lot of talented players with the likes of Carlos Bacca and Radamel Falcao still on the team.
Brazil on the other hand, have made four changes for Tuesday’s game. Premier League players Fernandinho and Firmino will start against Colombia.
Casemiro and Gabriel Jesus will not play on Tuesday. Marcelo is suspended and will not be available for Tuesday’s game, Felipe Luis will replace him.
Philippe Coutinho is expected to play as is Willian.
Colombia XI : Ospina, Zapata, Arias, Diaz, Fabra, C. Sanchez, Cuadrado, Aguilar, J. Rodriguez, R. Falcao, T. Gutierrez.
Brazil XI : Alisson, Alves, Luis, Marquinhos, Coutinho, Paulinho, Fernandinho, Willian, Firmino, Jesus, Neymar.
Prediction
I expect Brazil to win 2-0 on Tuesday.
