1 Day to go for 2019 Cricket World Cup

ICC Cricket World Cup
ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 kicks off tomorrow
ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is not far away, and teams will be after winning the prestigious trophy. This time it’s a short tournament containing just ten teams. Every cricket lover will be delighted.

It should not be an easy tournament with every team capable of upsetting each other. But that is the beauty of the sport that all sides have some quality. The likes of Bangladesh and Afghanistan are formidable sides.

In this tournament teams will be betted upon as ICC World Cup betting will be on the full go along. But the focus is on the tournament and every team has unique players which fans will have eyes on.

The favourites for the tournament are namely 4-6 sides this time along. With the likes of New Zealand and South Africa being dark horses as usual. England, India, Australia and Pakistan are favourites to lift the trophy on 14th July.

Sri Lanka and West Indies are not in their primes sadly but have been strong teams over the years, and you should not count them out. But as of now, everybody has their money on those four or six sides mentioned above.

For Bangladesh and Afghanistan, it’s about being getting experienced after the tournament as they are not favourites. With the number of teams reduced, The ICC has made it sure that the quality of the tournament is there and fans get to see competitive cricket throughout.

India
India are one of the favourites for the tournament
In this century, Australia and India are the only sides managing to win the World Cup. Australia won the 2003, 2007 and 2015 tournaments. India won the famous 2011 World Cup. This time though they should find it tough as England have ideas to change the course of history.

Pakistan won 2017 Champions Trophy in English conditions and must be confident of converting the success into something big which they haven’t done since 1992. South Africa and New Zealand will look to shed the chokers tag.

Sri Lanka has not repeated the 1996 one-day success and despite playing numerous finals like in 2007 and 2011 ended up on the losing side. They will be eager to repeat success. As for The mighty West Indies, their time seems to be long gone. Way back in the 70’s they were stars of one-day cricket. But now should be as good a time to re-establish themselves at the top.

Bangladesh and Afghanistan are the underdogs, and everything is new for them, and it will be one of the biggest sports history miracles to have happened if they end up winning. All the best to them.

So we can’t wait to see the World Cup begin and 30th May 2019 is the date we cricket fans look forward to when hosts England take on South Africa at The Oval.
